At this time, Manson was a much smaller operation, with Hugh Manson and a tiny team crafting instruments that were highly sought after by session pros and rock stars like John Paul Jones. The \"Classic S\" was designed to be a \"Strato-style\" guitar but with significantly upgraded hardware and woods. It sat alongside their \"E-Series\" and \"Magnum\" models as a more versatile, high-end workhorse.
