Unlike some modern SGs with weight relief, this era of the '61 Reissue uses a solid mahogany body. The guitar is equipped with '57 Classic humbucker pickups, designed to capture the warm, full, and dynamic tone of the original \"Patent Applied For\" (PAF) humbuckers. The translucent cherry finish allows the mahogany grain to show through, adding to its vintage appeal.
