Best known for his time with Thin Lizzy, Sykes joined the band in 1982 and played a key role on their final studio album, Thunder and Lightning (1983), bringing a heavier, more aggressive sound that helped modernize the band's classic twin-guitar style. His dynamic performances on tracks such as "Cold Sweat" showcased his speed, precision, and expressive vibrato, earning widespread admiration from fans and fellow musicians alike. Beyond Thin Lizzy, his work with Whitesnake and Blue Murder cemented his reputation as one of rock's premier guitarists. Sykes' distinctive blend of technical mastery, memorable riffs, and soulful lead playing has influenced generations of guitarists, inspiring countless musicians in hard rock and heavy metal to pursue a balance of virtuosity, melody, and emotional expression in their own playing.

John Sykes Les Paul Custom

Les Paul Custom

Ebony

Chrome Hardware

Mirror Pickguard

Mirror Humbucker Surrounds

Pearl Inlays

Exposed Coil Humbuckers

Original Touring Case

Multiply Binding

Condition 8.5/10 Tour Stage Used

Signed by John Sykes, Carmine Appice and Tony Franklin

Verification

Personally Hand Signed To Face

Copy of Original Charity Auction Listing

Copy From John Sykes Personal Instagram Discussing Instrument

Archival Pictures .

History

The above instrument is synonymous to both the look , sound and tone of John Sykes and was personally owned and used by artist whom later donated to friend and former Blue Murder Bandmate Nik Green's Family to raise funds for medical treatments.

Comments

The above instrument was personally owned and used by one of rock's Most respected of all, guitarists that being the late John Sykes

ALL EU PURCHASES ARE DELIVERED WITH TAXES AND DUTIES PAID

All purchases include EU Taxes / Duties paid, i.e., nothing further is due on receipt of goods to any EU State.

WHY BUY FROM US

We are one of the world's leading specialists in used and vintage gear with over 30 years of experience.
