Introduced in 1963, the guitar featured a now-iconic \"Reverse\" look, with both body and headstock being horizontally flipped from the conventional offset design. In mid-1965, Gibson introduced a new \"non-reverse\" iteration of the line, for various reasons ranging from manufacting costs to patent infringement threats from Fender. This Custom Shop 1965 reissue from 2019 replicates the \"Reverse\" design, just before the switch.
