The most distinctive feature was the 9-way pickup switching system, achieved using a two-way rotary selector switch in place of the bottom tone control, combined with the standard 5-way blade switch. It came equipped with a hotter \"X-1\" single-coil pickup in the bridge position, providing increased output and drive.
